Biosafety Training

Biosafety training is required for anyone who will have contact with biohazardous materials as well as all personnel listed on an IBC protocol. Specific trainings that are required are determined by the types of biohazards that are included in the research project.

Contact to determine a training plan and sign up for sessions. Initial training sessions must be taken in person or via webinar. Live sessions are currently being scheduled multiple times a month.

Refresher training sessions are offered in SOLE on the following frequencies:

Biosafety/BSL2: Every 3 years

Blood Borne Pathogens: Annually

Recombinant DNA: Every 3 years
